The role

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the design and backend engineering team to implement new features on the frontend
  • Making sure the web client can scale 7-10x in the next year
  • Maintaining security and stability during rapid growth
  • Help mitigate and resolve bugs / work with the customer support team to resolve frontend bugs

We want you to be an integral part of the small clients team. You'll be able to take a leading role in delivering an excellent web experience to our 1,000+ customers and our thousands of users.

Description

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience with iOS or macOS development
  • Experience with Objective-C (5+ years) and C++ (nice to have!)
  • Familiarity with Rust is a plus, (or willing to learn Rust)
  • Has experience shipping products
  • Self-starter with a passion for product development

We are looking for:

  • A strong standard of spoken and written English
  • Enthusiasm for understanding technical ideas and explaining them clearly to other members of the team
  • Experience and skills developing web applications with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL or another relational database
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience with using Git or Subversion
  • An interest in test-driven development
  • Comfortable using macOS as your day-to-day operating system, or happy to learn
  • A willingness to provide technical support to the team, and occasionally customers

Desirable skills

  • Experience with mobile
  • Experience with Objective-C
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus
  • Has experience shipping products
  • Self-starter with a passion for product development
  • Prior history of open source contributions
  • Experience working in remote teams
